The Joy of Piano Teaching

I love playing the piano, and teaching people how to play piano. Whether they are beginners, young or adult, or advanced players, performers or teachers, there is joy in our encounters: our lessons, our conversations, sharing our love and passion at the piano, having fun and tackling problems.

Playing the piano (or teaching it) is not always all glory and joy. In our practice and lessons, often times there are setbacks – it can be upsetting to not have the progress we want, even we try hard enough. And there are times it just seems to flow so easily, like we really get it.

The important thing is to just keep going. Just like life. There are always ebbs and flows. We just ride along with them, and take it one day at a time.

I hope you all have a great start to the year, this year is going to be glorious.
