Piano Improv
Sometimes I sit down and do a little improv – that means I just play anything that comes to my mind and start creating my own music at the piano. It’s a lot of fun! Enjoy this little piece.

It was great fun seeing my students in person and listen to them play. We had a great time playing for one another, and some interesting conversation over having drinks and snacks. I look forward to more gatherings next year!
I am having another gathering with the adult students next week! I am so excited to see them in person again. Students would play a piece or two for one another and enjoy the music sharing time with drinks and nibbles. I look forward to listen to every one of them play! I might join… Continue reading Adult Student Music Gathering Fall 2021

There will be lessons for the Labor Day weekend. About fall concert, I have booked the church venue in Gunbarrel due to popular vote. I am very excited to see everyone and listen to my students performing in person this time!
There were times I was taught with the most traditional way of piano teaching and learning. It seemed that there was only one right way to play well at the piano. Time passes and time has changed. Over the years, I have learnt to play and teach differently, and I believe for the better. Music… Continue reading The Joy of Piano Creativity
I love playing the piano, and teaching people how to play piano. Whether they are beginners, young or adult, or advanced players, performers or teachers, there is joy in our encounters: our lessons, our conversations, sharing our love and passion at the piano, having fun and tackling problems. Playing the piano (or teaching it) is… Continue reading The Joy of Piano Teaching
