I think it’s important to have a student progress report on a regular basis, so that students and parents know how they’re doing with the piano lessons. I’m always pleasantly surprised to see how far students have come along and how much they have learnt, at the same time enjoying their playing and lessons with me!
I made up a fun version of happy birthday song after I was teaching a student the song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams (also from the movie “Minion”). I wish every June birthday star a very happy birthday/month!
I picked this song because it reminded me of a student who was learning to play this piece… he told me I was the best teacher he had ever had… it reminded me that I needed to continue to be a great teacher and keep inspiring others. And it is a pretty song.
There are many ways for students to enjoy music learning in our piano lessons. One fun way is to work on rhythm!
