I had the pleasure to record one of my piano compositions “Running Away” (complete) here in Colorado back in 2016. That was the first time I came to visit Colorado, little did I know that I was going to come back here and stay! Enjoy my piece!
My student plays Elgar’s Salut d’Amour, Op.12 at the piano in a recording session. (There are many instrumental versions of this piece!)
I taught this student from absolute piano beginner to piano diploma holder. That’s over 10 years of piano teaching and mentoring. Like I always say, it’s about the relationship through piano. I still have contact with her and other students overseas. We remain good friends throughout the years. Enjoy this performance by Yan.
Chopin’s music is many classical music lovers’ favorite. Here I play his Prelude in B minor, Op.28 No.6. Enjoy! “O Mio Babbino Caro” is a famous aria from Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly”. I love singing and playing this piece. Enjoy!
We are having our first piano student concert of 2020 on June 6 (Saturday) at 3pm at Harvest Baptist Church in Gunbarrel, Boulder. Miss Teresa Wong will also be performing some of her original piano compositions, and with her chamber sextet group, including Astor Piazzolla’s “Four Seasons”. Selected piano students of Miss Teresa Wong will… Continue reading Piano Student Concert 2020
I wrote this collection of piano music a few years back. Mui Wo is a place on a tiny little outlying island in Hong Kong. I used to go there whenever I had a break from my busy piano teaching life. It has beautiful beaches, enjoyable hikes and lots of cows meandering around. It’s quite… Continue reading Teresa Wong Piano: Mui Wo Suite (Complete)
In my mind and heart, every concert is unique, just as every one of our students at my studio is.
Everyone gets nervous before, during and even after they perform on stage; it’s a normal reaction. Who isn’t worried about their own performance? But in order to get more comfortable and be better at it, one must go up that stage over and over again, sometimes even they have performed rather poorly in their last act. It’s the same in life: you get back up again and again after you fall. That’s how you grow and become better and successful in something that matters.
From time to time I also play some piano arrangement of popular songs. Here is We’re the Champions by Queen. Enjoy!
